STUDY INSIGHT
It is not stated the sin that these angels committed causing them to be in hell, and bound by chains of darkness, but in Jude 1:6 | View whole chapter | See verse in context and in Genesis 6:4 | View whole chapter | See verse in context declare they committed fornication living with the daughters of men, which is contrary to their own nature. This group of angels did sins beyond that of the fall with Lucifer, for now they are bound in chains confined to hell for that sin. These are not all of the angels, there are some bound by chains in darkness and some loose working with Satan against God, and the holy faithful angels of God.
